For small installations
QR goods receiving with your phone
Start receiving goods with your smartphone: scan a QR code, review the item details, save and move to the next item. This receiving workflow requires no RFID reader or RFID expertise.
How mobile goods receiving worksOne label, one identity
The RFID stickers also carry a QR code containing the same RFID ID. Your phone camera reads that identifier from the QR code. Mobile receiving assigns the item to the identity that an RFID reader can use later.
How mobile goods receiving works
Scan the QR code and recognize the item
Scan the QR code on the RFID sticker with your phone camera. A frame from the same camera stream is compared with confirmed product examples directly on your phone. The model compares visual features; photos are not sent to a server for recognition. No separate photograph is needed.
Review suggestions and the expiry date
Check and correct the details, especially the expiry date. Item suggestions can be incomplete or wrong; similar packaging needs careful review. You decide which information is saved. Image recognition does not read a reliable expiry date; confirm the date against the item.
Save and scan the next item
Save the reviewed entry and scan the next sticker. For a batch of the same product, details from the last successfully saved entry are automatically suggested again, including its confirmed expiry date. Review and edit the date and any differences before every save.
Several packs of the same product
For the first pack, select and confirm the correct product and check its expiry date. The confirmed image example helps recognize further packs on this device. After saving, scan the next pack’s sticker. The last confirmed details for the same product, including the expiry date, are automatically prefilled and remain editable. The new pack gets its own scanned ID; review product details and the date before every save.
Start small and expand with RFID later
QR receiving needs a suitable smartphone with a camera and access to your configured RFInD installation. As your operation grows, compatible RFID readers can be added. The item identity is preserved because QR and RFID use the same identifier. Automatic RFID capture requires suitable hardware and its setup.
What needs to be configured?
Mobile receiving, camera access and a connection to the installation must be available. The image recognition model must be loaded on the device for item suggestions. Teach a new product with its first confirmed example; select the product manually if there is no suitable suggestion. Confirm which capabilities are enabled for your operation during setup.
